Software Suite v3
At the beginning of 2009, a complete refactoring of the software suite v2 had started. The goal was to increase the ergonomy of the graphical software, and also to increase the stability and to reduce the resource consumption.
Following articles shows the different steps from the v2 to the v3, and explain how the system works and how it's organised.
Software Suite v2
At the beginning of 2008, we started to create a new software suite, known as Tux Droid Software Suite or TDSS, and was the second version of the software architecture. The version is build around an HTTP server. This server is the core of the system, and is able to communicate with the APIs by HTTP requests.
The followings article explains how it works.
- Tux Droid Suite v2 : Complete system, from the hardware to the application layer.
- Tuxware Layer : Tuxware (sometimes called middleware). This layer is located between the hardware (Tux Droid) and the users applications.
- Gadget Framework : The gadget framework is designed to manage the gadgets.
