Tuxdroid WebPortal

What is Portal?

Portal is a webportal for tuxdroid users. It is a front-end for the portal database. Users register at the site.

One will be able to

• Send messages to other portal users.
• Configure tuxdroid gadgets
• Select voices
• Create scenes

There is some debate as to what is the best way to relay the information to the user. These are the main options:

1. A Daemon running on the client side, calling in every X minutes to a centralized server.
2. A Daemon running on the client side, permanently connected to a centralized server.

TuxFriends

Once registered to the portal, you can allow become friends with other users. This might do one or more of the following.

• Allow the other user to send TTS messages to your Tuxdroid
• Allow the other user to send scenes to your Tuxdroid
